SENIOR CLASS PROPHECY In a vine covered cottage with a play pen in the backyard lives Miss Arlene Gentis. As you probably noticed she is still unmarried although she has looked far and wide for a husband. On April 20, 1981, Arlene invited the two remaining old maids of the class, Donna Kirkwood and Connie Monce to come to her home. They were to discuss what they could do about getting a man. Donna is a cook at the old maids home in Bluffton. The home is run by Connie Monce. The girls arrived on time and after a few cups of coffee they started talking about the members of the class of 1956. Unfortunately Martha Pease has fourteen children and lives in Salt Lake City with her husband, Don Okey. Donna told of a letter from Lola Shaffer saying that she is traveling with the Jay Betts Sharp Shooters. This professional rifle marksman group is owned and organized by Jay Betts. One of the main attractions is when Wayne Foust shoots a cigarette out of Lola's mouth while he is blindfolded. On a recent man-hunting expedition Connie Monce went to the Fritzie ' s Ritzie Night Club. She was very much surprised to see Wilma Harshman in the line of the chorus girls. Connie said Wilma was the kickingest girlin the line. When a disturbance occurred she recognized the club's official bouncer as Paul Pinkerton. This brought back recollections of other vacations the girls had taken. Arlene remembered when she went to Palm Beach last winter that she has recognized the handsome life guard as none other than Jun- ior Bryant. He says one of his students has an exceptionally perfect shape but is still shy of water. Upon inquiry we find this student to be Jim Taylor. Carolyn Wilson met a man through a Lonely Heart Club only to find out he didn't have any teeth. However Carolyn remedied this situation by going on the Queen for a Day Show and won him a set of false teeth. Upon examination we find this correspondent is Jesse Stoner. Arlene and Donna tell Connie of an experience they had at the Street Fair. While ordering a hot dog they recognized the cook and cookess as Betty Holloway and Kent Johns. They have been traveling with the fair for twenty years and say there is no life like it. Upon walking past the Girlie Show they noticed Kash Vanover as the manintroducing the girls. lnhis troop are Nancy Williams and Joyce lfer. Joan Alberson and her husband have established a successful Brahman Cattle Farm in Wisconsin. An interesting match is Sue Settle and Bob Banter who own Settle and Banter Stock Yards in Bluffton. Peggy Gerber got married and with her husband run's a Dairy in Ohio. Dorothy Dubach is in Kentucky teaching a one room school. Her favorite pupilis a sixteen year old boy. Their wedding date is set for when he graduates. The girls are going to go to a show starring Bill Myers in Watch out for that Short Man. Bob Stauffer is the editor of Charm Magazine. They say he has improved it a lot. There must be some reason for that. . Mrs. Sarah Kindlesparger has added rooms to her new house to ac- comodate nineteen children. She is trying to beat the World's Record. 20
