SENIOR CLASS PROPHECY In the year of nineteen hundred eighty-one, as I was going on my annual tour of Hollywood, who should I see but the great star from Petroleum, ELIZABETH PINKERTON. She had started her career to fame on the day that she had married GEORGE BOWER, who now has become her manager and ever-loving husband. I stopped and asked her what had happened to the other members of the class of '55. She told me to follow her and she would show me where they were. It seems that KENT MONCE and JANET REASER had come to Hollywood for their honeymoon. Upon finding out that they did not have sufficient funds to return to Petroleum, they went over to the 20th Cent- ury Wolf Studios where ELIZABETH worked. Having a kind heart, ELIZABETH finally let them become her personal maid and butler. As we walked along her estate, I noticed a small bungalow near the back of her property. I inquired about it. My gardener, CHARLES COCHRAN and his wife and five children live there, she replied. While we walked back to her mansion, ELIZABETH told me about her other servants. It seems that HELEN WILLIAMS came to visit ELIZABETH and stayed on as her cook hoping to find some millionaire that she could marry, But it seems that she is having so much trouble with ELlZABETH'S brother, RICHARD PINKERTON, who keeps proposing every month when he comes to visit, that she has not had time to look for any millionaire. As her chauffeur, JOHN YOUNG came driving up in a big limousine, we decided to go to Smelly Smear's Nightclub on Moonlight Avenue. ELIZABETH explained to me that MELVIN FEAR had inherited a few million dollars and had invested his money in this famous nightclub. As we were eating our dinner, the announcer announced that MISS MARLENE ISCH and MISS KAY ON- WELLER would now put on their famous hula -hula dance called the Hawaiian Version of the Mambo . They will be accompanied by BILL GENTIS and his Hawaiian Wigglers , After the wonderful floor show, as Iwas looking around, who should I see but DONALD BRAND, the famous southern card shark, checking his hat. As I looked the second time I recognized the check girl as IANICE MYERS. ELIZABETH called my attention to the time because she had to be at the studio early in the morning. She remarked that her hot-tempered boss would be very much disgusted at her if she were not there on time. I was very much surprised to find that a boss would get angry at such a famous star and so I in- quired as to who the boss was. She informed me that BILL CHANDLER had purchased the 20th Century Fox Studio and had changed the name to 20th Century Wolf Studio. My tour was now at an end, so Iheaded for the train depot. As I walked into the waiting room at the station, who should I see but CAROLYN BROWN and DONNA NUSBAUMER. As I inquired about their presence there, they remarked that everyone had come to Hollywood and had become successful: They had decided to try their luck. I wished them lots of luck and started on my way. While seating myself on the train, I noticed that the conductor was no other than MR. EDWIN BROWN. It seems that the sen- iors of '55 had made him have stomach ulcers, so he had changed his career to something milder. While leaning my head back on the seat and looking at the passing scenery, I thought about my exper- iences in Hollywood and was very pleased to have been able to encounter all of the seniors that graduated from old P.
