PHE PANTHER WAYNE COCHRAN WLeftyHacted as Captain in his senior year and was one of the Hheadiestn members on the team. Al- though never a high scorer he was always con- sistent. ULeftyU usually received the assignment of guarding the Htoughu boys, he was always a consistent trainer and gave all he had when in the game. MAX FOSNAUGH ' Max was one of Petrole- uns most dependable re- serves. He was always ready and played several good games on the first team. He has a fine att- itude, always doing just as he was told. Fosnaugh never flinched from duty, always taking what was dished out to him with a smile, and always kept in good condition. RICHkRD SMITH Smith will be the speed iest boy in the Panther lineup next year. He is only a sophomore and -al- ready has the speed and drive equal to the best. With increased action next year, and a little more work, NRichH just will not be stopped. DLBRLLL FBDNKS Darrell is a brilliant little basketball player, but had quite a lot of misfortune during this year. He was out of the lineup at times due to illness and injuries. He was the flashiest boy on the team, driving through the impossible places for field goals. He clinaxed his career with an over- time shot just as the overtime ended to defeat Chester Center, but had a tough blow the next 'week when he dislocated his shoulder and was forced to give up basketball. H mf FLOYD STEINEB Floyd was a little slow in getting started but when he did he kept going Starting the season on the second team, he was pushed into first-team action before Christmas and there he stayed. He worked right in with the first team and will be the boy around when Coach Ireland builds his team next year. Floyd is left handed and just can not be stopped from hooking those over his head. He is a junior and will be the only senior on the first team next year.
