The Hi-Y Club under the direction of Mr. Quade and Mr. MacMillan have had another successful year. They endeavored during the past year to uphold their aim which is to create, maintain and extend throughout the school and community high standards of Christian character. Last December the boys of Hi-Y and the girls of Tri-Hi-Y went to- gether and presented a formal. Only members and their guests and alumni were invited to attend. This was very successful and enjoyed by everyone. In the spring a bake-goods sale was held for the purpose of sending boys to Camp Ha-O-Wenta during the summer. Tom Smith our president, gave us fine leadership which we ap- preciated deeply, and our heartiest thanks to Mr. MacMillan and Mr. Quade. hl-y Pres. ..... ....... The pur- pose is to promote Christianity throughout the school and community. Every year Tri-Hi-Y and Hi-Y get together and put on a Christmas Formal, and in the spring, a picnic. The theme of the formal this year was Si1ver Snow. Under the capable leadership of Mrs. Bailey, our advisor, we have had a very successful year. SUB-DEBS The Sub-Deb Club was founded in 1941. At the present time there are 25 members. New members are taken from ninth and tenth grades. Seniors are honorary members. The advisor to the club is Mrs. Marguerite Beckley. Primarily a social group, it has as its ideals: good character, a spirit of friendliness, and service. This year one of the projects was a Christmas cookie sale. Some of the money earned was used for a needy grade school child. One of the yearly contributions of the club, is to the Iunior Bed Cross. Each year in the spring a slumber party is held honoring the senior members.
