Its main purpose is to better the relationship of the student with his school and the faculty. It also tries to promote student participation in activities of the school. Council meetings are held at noon on certain designated days. Mr. Luttmann acts as chief advisor. The members of Student Council are voted in by taking one student from each advisory. This year the group compiled a student handbook for the use of our own students and for other schools who want to know more about how our school operates. The Student Council discusses and works out many projects, but its chief aim is to work for the student body. 58

The Hi-Y Club under the direction of Mr. Quade and Mr. MacMillan have had another successful year. They endeavored during the past year to uphold their aim which is to create, maintain and extend throughout the school and community high standards of Christian character. Last December the boys of Hi-Y and the girls of Tri-Hi-Y went to- gether and presented a formal. Only members and their guests and alumni were invited to attend. This was very successful and enjoyed by everyone. In the spring a bake-goods sale was held for the purpose of sending boys to Camp Ha-O-Wenta during the summer. Tom Smith our president, gave us fine leadership which we ap- preciated deeply, and our heartiest thanks to Mr. MacMillan and Mr. Quade. hl-y Pres. ..... .......
