SENIOR CLASS HISTORY On a bright September moming in the year 1949, the bells pealed forth, All ye who seek wisdom, come. And while the chimes still echoed, the Seniors of '53 became the Fresh- men of '49, The class organized the first year with the following officers: President, Otto Kalmbach: Vice-president, Karl Stone: Secre- tary-treasurer, Dick Spitler. So quickly the months sped by that before we realized it. the freshman year reached a successful close. The bells chimed forth again, calling the Sophomore Class to duty. That year Ken Clark was chosen president: Dick Sellers, Vice-president: and Bob McConnell, Secre- tary-treasurer. Once more the year closed successfully. We chose Otto Kalmbach, Dean Eaton, and Nancy Zimmennan as class offi- cers. That year was a big year, for during it we had to plan the Iunior-Senior Banquet, give the Iunior play Mother Was A Fresh- man,' 'and present the I-Hop. The theme for the big party we gave the seniors was Moon- light and Roses. Thus our junior year ended. The bells chimed out loud and clear last fall for our senior year, and with sad hearts we answered our last call to the bells of P.H.S. This year Otto Kalmbach, Dick Spitler. and Karl Stone were our officers. We attend- ed the Iunior-Senior Banquet and the I-Hop, for which we thank the Iuniors. As Seniors we gave our play, and to end our year came the Senior Trip and Graduation. The bells will never again call us, but P.H.S. will always be a beloved spot to us.
