ENIOR Fhe class of 1947 durmg lts freshman year was Just actlve enough to let the upperclassmen know it was around We sponsored a dance for the school and took charge of a concesslon at a basketball game Ir Apru we threw a shmdlg for ourselves ln the gym and wound up the year wxth a p1cn1c at Camp Daggett The class offxcers for thxs year were Char M11 ler Presldent Jean MacM1llan Vnce Presldent and Ray Dombroskl Secretary Treasurer Nineteen forty fxve found the present day aan mas firmly estabhshlng themselves m the hfe of P S Arlsxng vlctorxous from hotlv contested electxons were John B8faS8k1S, Presldent, Ray Dombroskl Vice SENIOR CLASS OFFICERQ Presxdent and Jun Pnce Secretary Treasurer Mrs Eugene Kmshf V106 Pfwdent BYU Inghs adv1sory contrxbuted two of these offxcers and Buck President John Batsahs Seem' m the three years followmg sms famed advlsory placed 'SW Treasure' seven out of mne class officers After the Boyne Cnty game the Sophomore Class sponsored a dance Thls dance was the fn-st one ln the h1St0I'y of 47 wlth ahve orchestra play mg Oonowsxons were arranged for basketball games and returns from these helped f11l the coffers The Sophomore Class nmshed second IH the mter-class track meet, beaten only by the Semors A wet Pxcmc at Daggett rang down the curtam on our Sophomore careers The fxrst event of a banner year started off wlth electlons of our all Important J umor Class officers Tnose to be awarded pos1t1ons respectlvely were Ormond Pamlthorp, Pres1dent, Tom Ritter Vlce Presldent and Dxck Lesher Secretary Treasurer The annual class dance was flrst of numerous tasks to be conquered Wlth the f1ne coopera tion of the class and thelr advlsors the affalr was a success We were fortunate ln gammg a portlon of the annual tournament concesslons whlch added a substantlal sum to our treasury By th1S tlme sprlng had arrlved and Wlth It the hlghly success ful Jumor Play The Doctor Has a Daughter Due to class co-operatlon, the txcket sales and proflts were hlgher than those of any preceding' Vaar In May a banquet was gxven by the Semors of 47 for the hopeful Semors of 46 Decorations conslsted of sprmg flowers and candle hghted tables Highlight of the season was the gorgeous J Hop made possible by the efforts of every mem ber of the class under the expert SUDCIVISIOD of Mxss Paxlthorp The theme carrxed out depleted the Arabman Nxghts stones.
