S A , 4-., It was while assigned to NPTU Windsor that he was Selected to Chief Petty Officer and then Senior Chief. He then moved on to USS Bainbridge CCGN 255 in April 1992. In July 1995 he was Selected to serve on COMNAVAIRLANT! it COMNAVSURFLANT staff with the Surface Nuclear Propulsion Mobile Training Team. He was frocked to Master A 1 Chief in April 1996. He was Selected into the Command Master Chief program and attended the Navy's Senior Enlisted E gif Academy in 1998. He reported aboard the USS Peterson CDD 9695 in January 1999. , e f fi Master Chief Seitz's personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation D cMedal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals and various unit and campaign awards. . 25,7 Master Chief Seitz is married to the former Melissa Roberge of Waterville, ME. LIE TENANT COMMANDER UNITED STATES NAVY Lieutenant Commander Chase is the son of Don and Nancy Chase of Nicholville, New York. After graduating from St. Regis Falls Central High School in 1980 he enrolled in Clarkson University, Potsdam, New York. He entered the Navy Nuclear Propulsion Officer Candidate program in June 1983 and graduated from Clarkson in May 1984 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering. Lieutenant Commander Chase was commissioned from Officer Candidate School, Newport, Rhode Island in October 1984. He then completed nuclear pipeline training at Nuclear Power School, Orlando, Florida and Nuclear Prototype Training Unit, Ballston Spa, New York. He next attended Surface Warfare Officer's School Division Officer Course in Newport, Rhode Island. y His first assignment was in USS VIRGINIA CCGN 38? from June 1986 to June 1990, where he served as Mechanical Two Division Officer, Main Propulsion Assistant, Reactor Training Assistant and then fleeted up to Damage Control Assistant. During his four years on VIRGINIA, he completed two Mediterranean deployments and VIRGINIA was twice awarded the Battle E. Lieutenant Commander Chase was next assigned as an instructor at Naval ROTC Unit at Holy Cross College in Worcester, Massachusetts from June 1990 to June 1992. He was the junior class instructor and was the Assistant Offi- cer in Charge of Sail Training at the unit. 1 After completion of Department Head School in January 1993, Lieutenant Commander Chase was assigned to the USS HALYBURTON CFFG 40D as the Operations Officer. Upon completion of another Mediterranean deployment, HA- LYBURTON participated in Counter-Narcotics Operations and was awarded the Coast Guard Special Operations rib- bon. His next assignment was in USS EISENHOWER CCVN 69? commencing May 1994. Lieutenant Commander Chase was spot promoted upon assuming the duties as Reactor Training Assistant on IKE. IKE served as the launch platform for the US Army Tenth Mountain Division during Operation Support Democracy in Haiti. IKE was awarded the Meri- torious Unit Commendation for its action during this operation. IKE also completed a Mediterranean deployment and operated in the Red Sea during this timeframe. Lieutenant Commander Chase then reported to Surface Warfare Officers School in Newport, Rhode Island in June 1996 where he was the Executive Director of Department Head Training. In March 1998 he reported to the United States Naval War College and was awarded a Master of Arts Degree in Strategic Studies and National Security Affairs in March 1999. He then reported back to SWOS to complete the PXO pipeline and reported to PETERSON as the Exec- utive Officer June 1999. Lieutenant Commander Chase's decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation with two gold stars and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with one gold star and various unit commendations and service awards. Lieutenant Commander Chase is married to the former Anne Marie Sullivan of Framingham, Massachusetts. They have two sons, Caleb, born 21 August 1992 and Colin, born 25 July 1994. They presently reside in Chesapeake, Vir- ginia. DEA . CHASE
