A Dream Comes T rue Our life style has changed! Let’s get acquainted. The main entrance is sufficiently illuminated. Upon entering, you can see clearly into the cafeteria. We never have to complain about seats in the cafeteria because there are more than enough. The hallways are so unfamiliar and seem to be so narrow! (Although Ms. Bailey doesn’t think so.) Do you remember the old auditorium and doubling up in seats? We realize now how much fun that was. Wow, can you believe these colors on the walls? Two floors, less steps, what a relief! We’ll never miss all those steps to the third floor in the old PHS. We have lockers that are crimson, gold, and gray. What a change! Do you remember being told to stay off the grass? Now we’re being told to stay off the grass seeds and hay. Can’t get caught gazing out the windows anymore. There aren ' t many to gaze out. I guess the new PHS gives you something and takes away something as well. We, the students of PHS thank you for the air conditioning on the cool and cold days, and for the heat on the warm and hot days. The addition of classrooms prevents us from walking up Washington Street, when it’s raining cats and dogs, and it also keeps us from swimming across the bridge and wading in three feet of mud, while crossing the athletic field. We are one big family at the new PHS. It is here that we have more equipment to enhance our learning and more space for growing mentally. Varonda Hopkins
