Administration Aids Consolidation Every day many decisions which affect student life at PHS are made in the administrative headquarters. Supervised by our principal Mr. Edwin M. Betts, Jr., and our assistant principals, Mr. Albert Jones and Mr. Frank Teass, this office is the kernel of all school activity. Working with the interim council to organize the consolidation of the student bodies of Petersburg and Peabody High Schools has been one of the administration ' s main objectives this year. The renovated office was provided with a new air conditioning system so that the administrators could work in comfort. Moreover, students had identification cards made at pre-registration. Smooth operation of the school depends greatly on the office secretaries. Aiding both teachers and students, the secretaries are a vital part of the staff. Having the intercom system revised has helped both the office and faculty. Seeking new ways of improvement is the constant thought of our administrators. Mr. Edwin Betts Principal Mr. Albert Jones Mr. Frank Teass Assistant Principal Assistant Principal Mr. Betts listens attentively as Mrs. Buckner outlines ideas on reading education. 16
