For the f, -XX Freshman year we chose the following officers: President, EdwinTmTi Walker, Vice-President, Mary Jane Temple, Secretary, Jane McManus, and Treasurer, Edward Houck. In spite of the war we had many activities such as a hike, a wei- ner roast in October, a vegetable soup sale, another weiner roast in . April, and a square dance. A year later, September 1945, only twenty members came to make up theSophomoreClass. This year we elected as our officers: President, Charles Croyle, Vice-Pres- ident, Betty Barclay, Sec- retary, Jane McManus, and Treasurer, Norma Wagner. This year we did not have so many activities because of rationing , Still we managed to have a weiner roast, a trip to the movies, and a square dance. We also sold jello to help enlarge the :lass treasury. Another year passed and, in September 1944, eighteen members showed up to form the Junior Class, For a short time only, there were eighteen, in November, Joan Attics left to return to Hershey. From the remaining members we chose the following officers: President, Mary Jane Temple, Vice-Presi- dent, Norma Wagner, Sec- retary, Lillian Croyle , and Treasurer Edward Houck. Included in our ac- tivitiesfor this year were two square dances, the selling of Jell-O, the pleasure of entertaining the Seniors at the Junior Prom, and a play, 'HERE COMES CHARLIE' , which, at least in our opinion, was a splendid success. We also col- lected scrap paper to help the war effort. We are sorry to say that our class was reduced to fourteen, in our Senior year. From these we chose our officers, President, Ann Cresswell, Vice-President, Hazel Rudy, Secretary, Lillian Croyle, and Treasurer, Edward Houck. During this year we were very busy with the year book, the sell- ing of Jell-O, another play, 'AARON SLICK FROM PUNKIN CRICK'. 'f CCUaasQlWPisioify We have planned a trip to Washington, D.C.. According to the schedule we shall leave Petersburg Hay 14 and return May 16. Then on May 26, 1946, the traditional Commencement Activities will close our four exciting years at P.V.H.S.. We shall say farewell, then, to the teachers and classmates who helped to make the Glass of '4Q,which we love and shall cherish for years to come. 1: ::'o -NI.:1:Taira::e:1i:a::::.:i1:: ,M ?:::::::,:,iegjgififzezfe:
