Phoebe Goss was elected as our Student Council member. The class activities were a square dance on November 12, the gathering of scrap paper on January 15, and an ice-skating party January 16. The class started their second year in high school by electing the following officers: President, William Hurleyg Vice- Presldent, Miriam Summers, Treasurer, lax Brooksg and Secretary Betty Whltesel. We also elected Miriam Summers and William Hurley to be Student Council IBIDCTB. We had a vegetable soup sale and gathered scrap paper. On February 9, 1945, we had our square dance. Fanny Farnham, Larry's snobbish aunt, and Ted Hartley, Larry's cynical college pal. Then there are Charlie Hoppe, Larry's ward, and Uncle Aleck Twiggs, who, like Charlie, is a true product of the Ozarks. Url. Smythe-Kersey, a haughty society matrong her daughter, Vivian, who is engaged to Larryg and her son, Mortimer add comedy as do Nora Malone, the cook, and Officer Tim HcGr1ll, Nora's Irish policeman fiance. When Charlie returns, barely recognizable in her successor, the glorious Charlotte, th6 play ends with everybody happy.
