Freshman Class Histor On August 29, 1957, eighty-one frightened freshmen found themselves seated among the proud upperclassmen in the gymnasium. They were ready to overcome all obstacles in their climb to success. After several weeks of getting acquainted, they elected class officers. They are as follows: President, Mark Liggettg Vice-President, Phillip Johnson, Secretary, John Moats, Treasurer, Marion Eadesg Student Council member, Jacque Killian. The Freshman sponsors were Mrs. Rebbe, Mr. Jones, and Mr. Worthington. The freshmen were well represented in 'all sports, band, chorus, speech, F.H.A., and F.F.A. One. of the outstanding events of the year was the Freshman Reception Day. On this day the Freshmen sc-rved as slaves of the upperclassmen. During the after- noon they put on a performance for the rest of the school. In the spring, the fresh- men enjoyed their .annual class party.
