Senior Class Histor August 30, 1954, found eighty enterprising students entering the portals of P.H.H.S. Their first official act was to elect their leaders. The officers selected were President, Leonard Eddingsg Vice-president, Mary Arm Brass, Secretary, Jim Harrisg and Treasurer, Paula Chcrry. The Student Council representative was John Finney. Their sponsors for their first year were Mrs. Wood, Mr. LaHann, and Mr. Worthington. The Freshman Reception and the class party were the most memorable events of the year. The next autumn seventy-two of the original eighty freshmen were back again, this time as sophomores. Elected to lead them through the second year of their search for knowledge were David Quinn, President, Leonard Eddings, Vice-president, Jim Harris, Secretary, Norm.an Powell, Treasurer, Student Council representatives, Mary Ann Brass and P. J. Grusbol'. The sponsors were Mrs. Peterson, Mr. Hilderbrand, and Mr. McKee. The social highlights of the year were the Sophomore Stunt, under the able direction of Mrs. Peterson, and the class party. In the fall of 1956, with half of their high school career now behind them, sixty juniors were determined to push onward toward their goal. Getting off to a goo-ti start, they elected as leaders President, Leonard Eddingsg Vice-president, Mary Ann Brass, Secretary-Treasurer, Karen Moss, Student Council representatives, David Quinn, Jim Harris, and P. J. Grosboll. The junior sponsors were Mrs. Satorius, Miss Holloway, Mrs. Greenhalgh, and Mr. Ford. The presentation of the Junior Play, The Remarkable Incident at Carson Corners , directed by Mrs. Greenhalgh, was on! of the spectacular events of the year. The climax of the year came with the Junior- Senior Prom, Far-Away Places , under the 'able supervision of Mrs. Satorius. The fall of 1957 found fifty-six seniors entering the halls of P.H.H.S. for the last year. They elected as their officers, Leonard Eddings, President, Edward Dirks, Vice-president, Richard McGary, Secretary, Karen Moss, Treasurerg Student Councilors were Mary Ann Brass, David Quinn, Jim Harris, and Norman Powell. Senior sponsors were Miss Terry, Miss Masters, Mr. Bagby, and Mr. Haddick. The presentation of the Senior Play, Meet Me In St. Louis , and the publication of the Sphinx were two of the successful projects completed by the Senior Class. Sooner than the seniors had thought possible, their last year .at good old P.H.H.S. had come to an end. On May 9 they were guests of the Junior Class at the Prom. May 23 was Baccalaureate with Reverend McCollough delivering the sermon. At last, on May 27, they had reached their goal-graduation. PAGE FOURTEEN
