CLASS BLUEPRINT Laying the Foundation: In the fall of the year 1952, sixty-three freshies gathered in two of the Peters Township High School rooms with Miss Miles and Miss Wolfe as advisors. We were the first class to be divided into two sections. When the two sections met for our first class meeting we elected the following offi- cers: Dorothy Fefolt, President, Ronald Sopko, Vice President, Garnet McClure, Secretary, Ronald Leech, Treasurer. We selected the white rose as our class flower, blue and white as class colors, and chose for our motto, Responsibility is written over the door of success. Initiation was next on the freshman agenda. The good sportsmanship displayed during initiation made this an unforget- table memory of our first year at P.T.H.S. After initiation we sold pencils, beanies, and sweat- shirts. The class also held an after-game dance and class picnic at the school. Thus a favorable foundation had been laid. Raising the Framework: With Mrs. Stitzer and Mr. Patterson as advisors, the Sophomore class elected officers. We chose: President, Zoe Zehel, Vice President, Garnet McClure, Secretary, Judy Robinson, Treasurer, Ronald Leech. Building up the treasury was our goal as sophomores and immediately we found ways to do so. We sold ice cream at noon and after school, sponsored an after-game dance, and sold candy at all the home basketball games. We concluded the year with a class picnic at South Park and considered ourselves to have constructed a very sturdy framework. Bricking lt ln: As iuniors we were anxious to get our busy year off to a good sta-rt by electing officers. We elected: Terry Merdian, President, Richard Dei, Vice President, Sally Richardson, Secretary, Ronald Leech, Treasurer. A new office, Assistant Treas- urer, was added and Harold Brown was elected to the office. The hill-billy comedy, The Campbells Are Coming, was produced by the iunior class. The selling of Christmas cards added to the class treasury. With Mrs. Lawrence and Mr. Mounts as advisors, the iuniors sponsored the Junior-Senior Banquet, May 12, 1956, at the Colonial Inn and the Junior-Senior Prom, May 25, 1956, at the Mt. Lebanon Women's Club along with an after- prom party which was held at Gammon's Restau- rant. Concluding our iunior year with the class picnic at South Park we felt our constructive years were ready for the finishing touches. Finishing the Product: Miss Howcroft and Mr. Patterson were our senior advisors. We owe them a debt of gratitude. We elected as our senior class officers: President, Terry Merdian, Vice President, Ronald Sopko: Secretary, Sally Richardson, Treasurer Ronald Leech: Assistant Treasurer, Zoe Zehel. As sen- iors we have taken on many different activities such as: sponsoring a dance at the Westminster Recreation Hall, selling year-book ads: publishing the Ember. With our building years now com- pleted we will now go to many finishing pro- cesses which will take us into many different phases of life.
