CLASS HISTORY The year 1952 was a memorable year for us the class of l956 That was the year wuth Elaune Thompson as our presudent Duane Schmueler vuce presudent Freda Duckey secretary and Ruth Lutz treasurer that we began our hugh school career Mrs Gardner and Mrs Stolze helped us establush a faur suzed treasury by sellung penculs emblems and sweatshurts sponsor ung an after game dance and collectung dues Wuth our newly elected officers now un full swung we chose the whute carnatuon as our class flower Forward ever backward never as our motto and vuolet and whute as our class colors We survuved the dreaded hazung peruod and found we were well under way to becomung full fledged hugh school students Dan Garner Presudent After completung a most successful term os freshmen we were quute proud when we elected our officers as Sophomores For our presudent we chose Al Pahanush vuce presudent Carol Gall secretary Freda Duckey and treasurer Barb Chambers We Bmbam Kuem learned that year that wuth our new sponsor M Debolt we Secretary could uncrease our treasury even more by payung penny fines for talkung out of turn But thus wasnt our only uncome We sold candy at basketball games and were un charge of the uce cream concessuon We held an after game dance and a class dance too Ella Kulmer Treasurer September i954 found us as Junuorsll We now enloyed the pruvulege of plannung the Junuor Senuor Prom and Banquet whuch by the way was held at the Mansuon House Chrustmas cards boosted our funds along wuth the Thanksguvung Dance and another after game dance Wuth Dan Garner and Tony Mukec as our presudent and vuce presudent respectuvely and Carol Gall and John Lelak as our secretary and treasurer we were proud of our prosperous year Under the leadershup and guudance of Mr Debolt we finally achueved the goal that of beung THE upperclassmen SENIORS Tony Mike: lt hardly seems possuble that only four short years ago we Vice Preydem entered Peters Townshup Hugh School as green freshmen not knowung the tirst thung about hugh school lute and now we as the class of 1956 tind that we are makung our final farewell to thus world of youthful adventures But we do not leave here empty handed We have our duplomas and somethung else that nothung can ever erase the memorues that go wuth beung a senuor uunuor sophomore and a fresh man Memorues such as we have mentuoned here and also our senuor play One Wuld Nught our heavenly prom and the banquet and the actual graduatuon utself Yes to all of you who are stull enuoyung these wonderful days we wush you all the best of success and may your school days be as memorable as ours 29 , . 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 3 - 11 11 1 1 ' 1 1 1 ' - I ' 11 11 1 1 , . 11 Q 11 - 1 .
