Mattat, J. Jansma, T. Best, B, Niemeyer, Coach Junior High Basketball This year something dityterent was done with the Junior High Team because so many had gone out tor basketball. The boys were divided into tour teams and played intramural basketball. Each ot the tour teams was coached by two boys from the varsity squad. Team I was coached by Bill Barker and Joe Obusek, Team Il by Barton Niemeyer and David Accetta, Team III by Ronald Leech and Arthur Dunhott, and Team IV by Zoe Zehel and Ted Taylor. Each time a home game was scheduled tor the varsity teams, two teams from the tour Junior High teams played each other in a preliminary game to the Junior Varsity game. In this way each team got to play the other three teams. The Junior High team which played other schools was a composite group from the tour home teams. For each game, the members ot each of the four teams chose three players from their team who they thought had done well in practice and in the intramural games. The boys who were chosen, were then the Junior High team who played in contests with other schools. By this method it was possible to have different players each game for the composite team.
