Four short years ago forty freshmen assembled 1n a class meettng w1th Mrs Sktllen as thelr advlser and elected the followtng officers Donald Fulton Prest dent ,lack Rlchardson Vtce Prestdent Sheryl Phtlltps Secretary Beverly Howard Treasurer Thus same class has grown xnto one btg famtly strtvtng to be the best Senlor Class ever graduated from the halls of Peters Townshlp We now the Senlor of 1955 got off to a bang start bv choostng maroon and gray as the class colors the yellow carnatlon for our flower and w1th the boys as a m1yor1ty lt ts Better to Learn Late than Never was elected as our tmpresslye motto After horror Neek the Sentors rewarded us wlth a dance which proved us to bc lull fledged lrosh ready for a busy year Pennles began pourtng ln after our sales of penclls sweat shlrts and candy Our pockets were al o emptted as we patd our class dues The grand total for the year was S5215 qutte a good start' Wtth Mrs Sklllen agatn as our helpful adytser we organtzed a successful Sophomore Class Remember our round and square dance tn May' The profit from sellmg 1ce cream added greatlv to our treasurv and we were very proud of our achleyements Offtcers thls vear were Presldent Howdy Kunkle Vice Presldent Donald Fulton Secretary Carolyn Kevs Treasurer Beverly Howard The Junlor Year soon rolled around and we agaln elected Howdy Kunkle as Prestdent Don Fulton as Vtce Prestdent and as Trea urer Beverly Howard Mary Ann Leech be 1 ame our yery cffet ttyt Sem retarv As tray eltng salesmen we e xerusc d our glowtng per sonalttles and sold 3486 worth off htrstmas Cards Our class dues hary est square danu and an after game danec soon brought tn tht funds for whtch we planned the ,luntor Sentor Prom and Banquet In Aprtl wtth Mrs Sktllen tthe bestest dramattc coach 1n the L S A j aldlng our stage productton The Angell Brats worked tts way to a total suc CLASS HISTORY cess We were surprlsed to learn that we had so many talented actors among the ,lunlorsl The annual prom was held at the South Htlls Country Club and the banquet tn the Colomal lnn Don Fulton was the master of Ceremonies and Reverend E V Londron the guest speaker Our long awaited shmy class rmgs arrtved tn No vember and by Chrtstmas were dtstrtbuted by some of the Sentors as Chrtstmas gtfts to other students of P T H S By September 1954 lt appeared plaln that Mrs Sktllen our falthful advlser gulded us ln the rlght dt rectxon for we all took our htgh POSIIIODS as Semors the goal we had all strlved for tn the last three years Thts last year began wtth Al Kern holdmg the Presl dent s place at head of hls class Don Fulton Mary Ann Leech and Beverly Howard remalned 1n the same ofhces as the precedlng year Work on the yearbook began tmmedtately and the Job of sollclttng ads was handled ntcely by the Semors Our class was never gomg to be one that ended 1n the The two days of lntttatlon proy ed the Freshmen to be yery good sports therefore we presented them wlth an extrayagant dame What dtsc jockeys we had among our SCDIOFS No Boys Allowed was presented October 29 by fourteen capable cast members And how proud we were of the basketball team XNll1Cl'l dey eloped from the Senlor Class' Yes all these happy memortes were wlth us as we enyoyed the prom and banquet presented to us by the Jumor Class Thank you agaln Jumors for makmg us your guests at these eyentsl' As we hold our dlplotnas ln our hands the eyenmg of graduation we wonder what wlll become of each and eyery one of us as we trayel llfes hlgh way but we know that none of us w1ll forget Peters Hlgh and the friends that always stood by us 1n con quest and ln defeat , . : , - ' ' Q t .
