The annual Christmas formal, the Sno'ball Dance, and the Talent Show held January 26, 1950, were sponsored by this group which has as one of its aims the task of raising funds to purchase robes for the choir. Our entering the Forensic contest last school year proved to be one of the big events of the year. Su- perior ratings in the county and district competition at Hickory and California State Teachers College, respectively, made us eligible to enter state competi- tion at Pottstown, Pennsylvania. There we received a rating of good The group entered the Forensic contest this year and made a good showing. We owe our progress to the never-ceasing efforts of our director, Mrs. Hen- rietta Locklin. To her and the A Capella Choir we say, You're tops. Under the supervision of Mrs. Henrietta Locklin the orchestra has worked to provide a variety of good music throughout the school year. This dependable group consists of students from all the classes. A tuba and a bell lyre are two new additions to this years orchestra.
