We have tried to put these experiences into your yearbookg you must recall the emotions which accompanied them . OUR MASTERS... We will pass through this world but once. Any good thing therefore that I can show to any human being, let me do it now. Let me not defer it or neglect it for I shall not pass this way again. This first quote I'm sure has been the motto of the masters of the Peterborough Teachers' College. To the students of Peterborough Teachers' College they have passed on this inspiration to be our motto as building teachers. Not once did they defer. Not once did they neglect. But always during the past, now in the present and on through the future, good things were done by them, and are being done by them, and will be done by them as they treat us as the individuals we are. Patience: kindness: generosity: humility: courtesy: unselfishness: good tempers: guilelessness: sincerity: - these make up the supreme gift, the stature of the perfect man. This second quote describes our masters quite fittingly. Deserving of this praise they are, as they taught us through these traits of theirs, the stature of the perfect man. Through their patience they showed perfect love. Their kindness gave us great pleasure. Their generosity taught us not to be envious. Their humility taught us to forget what good we have done, because they showed us that love hides even from itself, that love waives even self satisfaction. Their courtesy showed us how to love in society, to love in relation to etiquette. They taught us unselfishness by showing us that there is no greatness in material things. Their good tempers and dispositions showed us that love is not easily provoked. Their possession of guilelessness is their great secret of personal influence. If you think for a moment, you'll realize that these masters who influenced us are the people who believed in us. Their sincerity taught us that love is not a thing of enthusiastic emotion, but rather a rich, strong, manly, vigorous expression of the whole individual. . So to all the masters who have worked in these rooms: to all the masters who have encouraged our thoughts and nurtured our ideals: to all their laughter and cheers for our victories: to all their disappointments: to all their defeats: to all the assemblies: to all the lectures, practice teaching, and long hours of homework: to all our panel masters, staff advisors to clubs: to our excellent student-master relationship: to their unique school spirit which has above all taught us self-confidence and human worth: to all this we give our thanks. Through all these headaches and moments of happiness, through all these memories, our masters have survived. They have shown us uniqueness, given us personal values, and shown us their individuality. Now to them we dedicate our yearbook.
