The squad played well all season, and missed the state tournament by only a few games. Such players as Jim Clark, Kevin Keenan, Donny Abbott, and goalie A1 Buxton, kept up the Hilanders momentum from victory to victory. Although there are a number of senior players graduation this year, the winning soccer tradition will be carried out by the fine nucleus of underclassmen in 1967. Ill L-R J. Parks, S. Finishing with a record of 11 wins and 7 losses, the team was able to claim victories over such strong teams as Conant, Merrimack, and Appleton. With some fine shooting from Alan Buxton, Dick Cuddihee, and Dick Thorner, combined with the sharp defensive play of Don Abbott and Dick Carlson, the well-coached varsity executed well, and provided some thrilling moments for Hilander fans. With the promise shown by John LaRoche, Cary Buxton, and other underclassmen, it looks like P. H. S. can look forward to another successful season in '68.
