Superintendent TO THE SENIORS OF PETER G. APPLING SCHOOL: At this time of the successful completion of the first great milestone in your lives, and as each of you strikes out on new paths in further preparation to meet the chal- lenges of the future, we extend our congratulations and best wishes. In charting your course as you embark upon the expressways of life, it is my hope that each of you will keep open minds—open to growth and maturity, facilitating mu- tual sharing of communication and brotherly love as well as those other qualities that make us truly human. As you seek a freshness of approach in trying to make this a better world for people to live as brothers in peace with themselves as well as world peace for all, I commend to you the following words: “There is a destiny that makes us brothers, no one goes his way alone; all that we send into the lives of others comes back into our own.” May your life be a rich and rewarding one, and may you know the true meaning of Brotherhood.
