lla- IXLENEJAE 5553-1- Our parents drove us back to the Bastille for another year The large freshman class enter- ed mth the usual combinatlon of timadity and boisterousness Class electlons were held The well organiz- ed senior ma.chine waged an industrious campaign Cheer Leaders elected Sally Haasl, Juch Landre, Carol Lovedale and Cathy Taylor lead the Varslty group, wh11e in charge of the Jayvees are Barbara Bruezmner, Fm Finger, and Joyce Jeske The students engoyed a Lyceum number, Ber- te1le's Bird C1.rcus June Brown helped in the act and got a big kiss- from a bard of course with Sturgeon Bay, 19 18 The varsity cheerleaders made their debut Freshman imtiation The teachers were driven mad as usual whLl.e the freshmen were offlclally taken into our midst One wel come feature was the absence of the onion necklaces formerly associated with this ceremony Our second game, Gillett here The score was 19 O with Gillett on the long end of the rope 30- We won! WE won! Niagara was our victm Score 19 O Seniors sponsored a dance to celebrate Ah! Money! lf.-IIIT' 7 We played Coleman there and lost again 7-0 111, not It shouldn't happen to nice people like us, but it did Stephenson trounced us 745-6 But, we never say die! Those hOI'X'1ble yellow p1eces made their first appearance of the year report cards Just to make the day consistently gloomy Lena gave us a 16-6 licking. 28- Homecoming game The team played hard, Lourdes was too much for them, and we lost 31 O Desp1te the loss, the Homecomlng dance sponsored by the juniors was a success It was a busy week for them In additlon to dance preparations, they worked on an assembly program g1ven thas afternoon A parade spon sored by the Pep Club was held before the game The semors won first pr1ze for the best float in the parade The1r ent con- s1sted of a horse-s1ze bulldog Its ody was assembled by senlor :Lnventive gemuses out of ware, excelslor, and, be11eve it or not, even a lamp shade Legs for the critter were by courtesy of Bill Haasl and Diz Hiller 29 31 Thanks to a fine program of activitles directed by PAL and a change of heart on the part of some of our formr vandal minded assoclates, the usual HaJlowe'en damage was practically non-enstent in Peshtigo They sponsored a masquerade party Halloween night, and prizes were glven for the best cos tumes The decorations were appropriate for the occasion, and an out of town orchestra IXIIIIV Happy Dqt Teachers' Convention! Vacation starts at noon! American Education Week begins Our parents came to v:i.s:.t school Freshman program, a good piece of work for their first attempt Drama Club program Basketball started Our first game with Lourdes in lhrinette got them off to a good sta1't We lost, 35-26 Wausaukee there, and our turn to win one Final score 36-28 in our favor md of second six weeks W, how time flies! 274- Thanksgivmg vacation starts ..-.. .....
