V Z ' bedication ?s1.,,- - f ' N f - Q 1 ':.' , -5 ,.. ff- 41 - PL X - 1-S ' .- , - , , .-S 4 .11-1 . 1956, would llke Dryden community improveour school ln the pupils of We, the Pine Cone staff of to dedicate this annual to the because of all they have done to an the interest they have shown our school The f1rst school in the Dryden community was built 1n 1902 in south Dryden, whlch is the John Hrs ses's home at the present time This school held only the first eight grades and upon gradua ting from the eighth grade, the chlldren attended hlgh school in Brender Canyon Host of the people lived in north Dryden, so a second school was planned which 15 Mrs Rosina Gross' rome As the populatlon of Dryden grew, the schools weren't big enough to hold all the chlldren To meet th1s need the two schools con olidated and in 1923, a new schoolwas built which is the present Dryden School The Dryden bcnool was bu1lt on five acres of land whlch the communi ty purchased from the Great Northern Railroad In 1926, the Dryden communlty built the first Dryden gymnasium on to the ma1n body of the school house Thls was getting too mall so in 195b, the people of Dryden, working together, built the new Dryden gymnasium which is truly a beautiful build n This year, 1956, the Drydamcom unity together with the Peshastin COMmUn1ty voted to join the two schools together for the following year This will make a bigger high school and offer Letter educa tional advantages The people of the Dryden community have al shown an interest in improving our school ii 3iIlnu F 2552 - HE-1115 1:--1:-.
