To the class of '57 we leave our sense of good judgement To Mr. Barronett, our advisor, we leave the quiet study hall To Mr. Kim We leave H telephone in every room so he won't have to do so much running To Mr Cowen we leave all tvnewriters in good working order To Mlss Richards we leave our appreciation for the intro duction of American Literature To Mr Piper we will a winning team in the district so he will be able to go to the state tournament next year also hope he will find some basses to carry the bass section in the coming year To Mr Magnuson we will the formula for pablum carbonate I, Richard Briggle, will my ability of being manager to Bill Schacht I, Delano Goehner, will my tennis shoes to any one who wants them and my jersey to Leonard Weedman I, John Milbrath, leave the honor of being Valedictorian to Dale Bahr provided he uses it before 1970, and my basketball suit to Steve Reister I, George Branam,1eave my ability to graduate to Hugh Merrell I, Carole Harkinson, leave the honor of being cheerleader for two years to Shirley Gerlack and with this goes my name checkers in hopes she will remember her tights more often than I did, and to Kirk I will my tenor voice I, Ann Merrell, will my height to Mary Roach and my gaiety to Harold Richardson I, Carol Cosand, will the nerve to pierce her own ears to Darlene Hover, and Ollie my speedy gift of gab, and to Janice my long finger nails I, Vivian Fox, will my ability of getting a diamond ring innq senior year to Elaine Miller, I leave the honor of cheerleader for two years to Marilyn Smith and I leave the honor of being Princess Dryden to Darlene Hower I, Vernon Gurnard, will to the underclassmen who will drive cars to school, a tire that will not go flat To Melvin Heinrich, I leave my basketball suit and my 6 feet To Dennis Nolan I will the ability to go out with one girl more than once I To Mr. Ford, we hope he gets more seniors in his band and we Class Prophecy This is the year 1974, and the world, day after day, is being more amazed at the marvels performed by the Dryden High School Class of 1954 So let's get into our custom built fly ing saucer and go see what these famous celebraties are doing Mr Barronett, their former class advisor, has been won dering about these celebraties and has not had time, being too busy with his duties as Representative to the League of Planets to keep up on their activities Now let's get going on our trip We see DELANO GOEHNER, a great engineer in the Armed Forces in Siberla, developing afnew type of iceless igloo Georgia Rae, standing at the window of one of his test models, waves to us as we zoom upward As we pass over the Big Lake Ice Arena, we see the famous star ice skater, CAROLE HARKINSON, skating with her partner, VERNON GURNARD When Vernon is not ice skating he is playing in place of Bob Houbregs, Jr , the famous U of W basketball star He is wearing a medicine kit and a two way radio con nected to the Sacred Heart Hospital Kin case of an emergency! At the same hospital we see DR JOHN ALBERT MILBRATH treating ANN MERRELL with Gonzolis G-Gonzolls Compressed White Corpuscle Pills so that she can go back to Hollywood where she is making a picture for Cecile B de Milne, Jr , called nJungle Antics' in which she will do her famous Umba Ga Ga Dance with her partner, nBomba, the Jungle Boy tible Ccomplete with accessories! driven by the multi million airs, DICK BRIGGLE, heading for his New York pent house apart ment. He was recently voted the nMost Eligible Bachelor in the United States I Nice going, Dick. We are headed south again and looking down at Palm Beach, we see the famous poetess, CAROL COSAND, who after making more money writing poetry than she knows what to do with, has re tired and is now making shell earrings From Palm Beach we go to Hollywood to see what's going on out in the land of movie stars One of the top hair stylists of the day is VIVIAN FOX She and Darrell have patented sever al of their new solutions Among these are pills to make hair permently red and shampoos to make hair naturally curly As we continue on our journey, we wonder just what the secret of her success really is! Flying up the Pacific Coast on our way home we pass over a lumber camp in Oregon This camp, which is located at the base of Mount Hood, is operated by GEORGE BRANAM In his spare time George is managing a basketball team composed of his lumber iacks For the past eighteen years his team has been the Back Woods Champions We might add that there are only two teams in the Back Woods Conference As we prepare to land, and get ready to report to Mr. Barronett, we discover that all these prophecies haven't come true yet, and we imagine that we will have to go a long way to the land where they will be fulfilled .
