Rather than serving midwtstern or foreign foods from only one or two nations a has been the prac- tice in the past, the club officer decided to change the usual for- mat this year, and served a menu featuring food from eight differ- ent countries. The dinner, served in a smorgas- bord fashion, was presented in the Education Building. Connoisseurs had a wide and varied menu to choose front. Mis Hovey received her B.S, and M,S, Degrees in home economics education from Emporia State Teachers College, In 1907, she joined the staff of Peru Slate Col- lege after teaching for thirty five years in Kansas, She h«t been active with the Home Economic Club on campus, the I 'nited Motions Dinner, the Martha Washington Tea and th style show Mr, Johnson begun his forty five year teaching career in « rural school in Richardson County. In 1951. he was appointed supervisor of grade eight and director of guidance at the T. J. Majors. Cam- pus School. He was named College Director of Student Teaching and Placement in i960. While -it Peru, Mr. .Johnson established the stu- dent education association on cam- pus, of which he was sponsor for twelve yea r . Mr. Johnson holds art A.B. Degree from PSC and an M.A. Degree from the University of Nebraska.
