Dean oi Men, J. A. Jimerson Dean of Women, Inice Dunning PRESIDENT W R PATE FACULTY, helmsmen of an aged and able cargo ship, maintains a steady twelve knots while we apprentices get our sea-legs. We re a green and mutinous crew, and once aboard we re on for the ride. V e rock the boat and heckle the pilots and don't realize what they've steered ur, through until it's land ahoy. Summer, 1940, our flag was at half-mast for beloved veteran Dean W. N. Delzell. We wistfully dropped anchor and waved good-bye to Ralph Sellhorn, C. PI L,nd- strom, Charles Zeegmiller, Harold Fisher and Mildred Catterns. Midyear, Clinton Sharp, E. J. Rawson, and S. T. Fleharty stepped inside the pilot house, and Frances Harvey, back from a year s furlough, spun yarns of overseas. To the faculty, they mend the leaks, bol- ster the crew. Guided by them, each a new crop passes ship inspection. OUR FACULTY—CHART AND COMPASS Pacjo Tv olvo
