We Discover Wi+h History The signing of the Magna Charta or the Battle of Gettysburg take on special signifi- cance for PHS sophomores and juniors taking either world or American history. While world history is an elective, American history is re- quired for all students for graduation. A student teacher during the study of elections is Barbara Venice, who explains how our government leaders are elected to Mr. Wright's sophomore English class. Maps come in handy in history classes as Robert Larson points out the boundaries of a state during the United Slates' growing period. And Learn About Elections A special course this year at PHS was the study of election procedures the week before the presidential election. Seniors in govern- ment classes taught election procedure to fresh- man and sophomore English classes, while juniors and seniors received this information in their social studies classes. Robert C.
