Seniors Show Gross Is Greener The premier showing of The Grass Thats Greenerj' was presented by the seniors March 24 and 25, The three-act farce was written and directed by Hal O. Kesler. This is the fourth three-act play Mr. Kesler has released for publication. George Burchram, played by lames Dice, ran for election as mayor, and the campaign involved him with some strange but rather interesting people -the Ladies of Candleoosa, who presented him with a medal and a pair of comedy gangsters, who stole the medal and tried to blackmail George with it. Things took a turn for the better though when Harley, the fifteen-year-old son, played by lack Davidson, and Farley, his companion, Norman Under- wood got the medal back againfthrough the use of an old vaudeville routine, and 'llessief' an armchair with a personality, Suzie Mavity, as Teenie, Harley and Farley's friend, outgrew her youlhfui ways when Farley asked her to a dance. Loral, Georges sixteen-year-old daughter, played by Marthann Weinke, discovered 'llove several times durf ing the course of the play. George obtained the office of mayor, and the Ladies of Candleoosa wel! comed him into the new office with incense and a mystic ceremony. Sally Chittum was the student director. Senior play cast is shown left to right: Chittum, Mr, Kesler, I. Davidson, Mavity, Under wood, Oury, D. Cole, Derbyshire, I, Dice, Money, Pugsley, Moore, Garrison, Weinke, Brock S. Hoeppner, and Mr. Hawker.
