These words meant four weeks of hard work and late hours for both the cast and die rectors. Going over the same scene time and time again seemed very tiresome and unneces- sary, but the thrill of the opening night proved that all their work was not in vain. 'XA Short Course in Philosophy dealt with all stages of life from the time when little childe ren make believe up until they are ready for marriage. Winter Wonderland portrayed all phases of winter scenes and snowtime music. ln the final scene, vacationers traveled froir. North to South to show the different ways ot enjoying a vacation. The slyness of the vil- lain, Barnaby, is cap- tured by lames Hawker, dialogue director, as Iames Noble, musical director, and Mike Da- vidson, student director, enycy his performance Choir in Toyland Fairy tales no longer remained tics tional when the music department prev sented ' Babes in Toyland as this years operetta given April l5 and l6. The setting of the musical play is in Mother Goose Land with the leads be- ing Barnaby, played by Ion Noland, Contrary Mary, Kay Fuqua, and Alan, portrayed by Dave Moore. The plot thickens as Alan and his sister are thought to be lost at sea and are finally found in Toyland. Contrary to practice, the show was presented on Friday and Saturday, It was received by a capacity crowd, lames Noble directed the musical score throughout the operetta, lames lnla'.f.'l4er was in charge ot dialogue, and Michael Davidson served as student director.
