THE Gttm 5 I MARTIN t tt' Pogo 'Possum entered the race but threw in the towel early as Martin Diz Dinsmore won the student body election. Rallies in the halls with campaigners such as Mary Lou Thoennes, Sally Chittum, Donna Harter, Sondra Landis, Katherine Sargent, and Phyllis Thomas, seen in the foreground, Were partly re- sponsible for Pogo's withdrawal. Ioe Keel jumps on the band- wagon as Narcissus wins by a landslide over lke and Adlai in the Publications Auditorium. The skit, satirized the sguabbles, back- slapping, and log-rolling at na- tional conventions. On the more serious side is this miniature legislature with senators and representatives from lndiana high school speech organizations. Here, speaker ot the house, lim Lingentelter, at right, presides over a student l-louse of Rep- resentatives which employs actual parliamentary procedure. The argument at hand is one close to high school students, conscription ot i8 year olds.
