GQJS jfsfory Our class started out our years of educatron in September of 1944 with Miss Kavanaugh as our teacher In the first grade and on up it was necessary for us to be divided into two classrooms As the years flew by, we enJoyed trips to the Plattsburgh Press Republican and to Ausable Chasm Soon we entered Juruor l-hgh School In the seventh grade we started raising funds for our New York tnp which we would take as semors, We elected our class offr cers but because our class was so large we were still divided so that each division had IIS own officers Wrth the help of Mrs, Wilson we sold Chnstmas cards and magazines for our New York fund In the eighth grade with Mr McAloon's help we sold the mag azrne, The North Country Life Durmg this year we were also faced with those dreadful tests called Regents Somehow we managed to get through these and become is HI! 'U X X057 at egg L-s NX f a freshmen, Ns Then came the big day when we came back after a long summer vacation to start our high school days Like every other freshman class we faced the cor1sequences of entermg high school Yes, we were initiated by those p1t1less Jumors For any upper classmen who were supposed to set examples for their under classmates, this was a poor example During this year we elected our class officers who were Jim Dubuque Presrdem Corrine Duquette, Vrce President Carol Harris Secretary Treasurer Tom Sanders, Student Council Rep To raise money for our fund we held a square dance in January In our sophomore year our officers were Dan Rabrdeau President Corrine Duquette Vice Presrdent Carol Harris, Secretary Fay Barnett, Treasurer Jane Allen and Jack Liberty, Student Council Reps We gave our Junior Return Party which was enjoyed by all who attended We also ordered our class rings Again we held dances to raise money for our New York trip In our Jumor year our class officers were Corrine Duquette, President Jack Liberty Vice President Carol Harris, Secretary Fay Barnett, Treasurer, Norman Torrance, Jim Dubuque, and Don Rabrdeau, Student Council Reps We received our class rings the first part of the year and were very proud to wear them We, as Juniors, initiated the freshmen, but of course we weren't as hard on them as the Juniors had been on us, In the middle of the year, Fay Bamett, Anne Bridges, and Carol Harris became members Barnett and Norman Torrance attended the Citizenship Education Conference at Syra cuse Then came the big event of our Jtmror year, our prom We all worked very hard on this and it was attended by many Our theme was Springtime in Paris and the gym was decorated wlth our class colors, pink and gray Fay Barnett was queen Chuck Kinney was kmg and Carol Harris and Ronnie Allen were attendants, We sold magazines again and sold soda and candy at basketball games and held dances to ralse money The years have flown by and finally we have become seniors Our class officers are. Anne Bridges, President Comne Duquette, Vice President Carolyn Myers, Sec retary Fay Bamett, Treasurer, Jane Allen, Chuck Kinney and Don Rabideau, Student Council Reps In the fall of our senior year we went to New York on our long awaited trip with Mrs Cordick Mr Bourgeois and Mr Ledwrth as our chaperons We saw many Interesting places such as the Empire State Building R,C A Building U, N Building, Bronx Zoo, the Church of St John the Divine, LaGuardia Airport, Radio City Music Hall the Bowery, Chinatown, Harlem, Statue of Liberty, the Little Church Around the Comer, and Madison Square Garden We attended movies, the stage show, Silk Stockings, Crnerama Holiday, evening show at Radio City and the rodeo We also went to Staten Island, shopped at Macy's and some went to Coney Island Everyone enyoyed his stay in New York but was glad to get home, too Our next big problem was getting our yearbook The Indian published Many long, hard hours were spent on this but we are very proud of it After spending many long and happy tunes together at P C S we are waitmg to get diplomas and to further our education 'N DANC J l ,lp afg- f ' A .
