' sa 'ifixf I - Hlass J-lzsfary W Our class started out rn September of 1942 wrth M1ss Kavanaugh as our teacher Our grade BCIIVIIICS xncluded a crrcus ln the second grade wrth Mrs Rooney and M1ss Srgnor as our teachers In the thlrd grade Mrs Gagnon helped us present the play Babes rn the Woods During the frrst stx years we had many Halloween and Chrrstmas partres w1th Alvrn Wrlson as Santa Claus rn the slxth grade Our class was unoffrcrally orgamzed 1n the seventh grade under Mr Ledwlth s guldance We had an elect1on campatgn and elected Edmund Copeland to be our presrdent Before we knew II we were faced w1th Regents but somehow we mastered those dreadful exams We were then ready to enter senror hrgh school In our freshman year we elected Mr Krarth as our class advrsor and our class offrcers were as follows Earl LaBounty presrdent Dlanne Wrlson v1ce presrdent Dawn Carpentler secretary and Janet Iessey treasurer The frrst blg event of our freshman year was the IHIIIH t1on whrch we all dreaded but managed to survlve somehow Our sophomore year was a busy one rn Wh1Ch we sponsored dances and gave the sen1ors a retum party We also ordered our class nngs Our class offlcers were Edmtmd Copeland presldent Dranne Wllson v1ce presldent Shrrley Wnght secretary and Janet Jessey treasurer In our Junror year our class offlcers were Tom Guoux presldent Edmund Copeland v1ce and were very proud to wear them Also durrng our Jumor year we presented the Jun1or Rambow Prom Dlanne Wrlson was crowned queen and Ed Copeland was kmg In our sen1or year Mr Krarth who had been our advrsor, left us so we elected Mr Led wrth as our advrsor Our class offlcers were Tom Grroux presrdent Noela Carte v1ce prest dent Dawn Carpentler secretary and Elvera Marshall treasurer Our greatest arm at the be g1nn1ng of our sen1or year was the Lrrp to New York Crty We f1nally made II Wlth Mrs Hutch xnson M1ss Stoughton and Mr Ledwlth as our chaperones We traveled by tra1n whrch made our stay 111 New York a l1ttle longer We took a slght seemg tour of the Clly and later V1S1ICd the R C A Burldlng LaGuard1a A1rf1eld Haydon Planetanurn and several pomts of mterest We saw radro and TV shows Mrs Hutchlnson took part rn the radro show Take a Number and won several nrce g1fIS We all saw the cmemascope productlon The Robe whlch every one enJoyed rmmensely Our frve days 1n New York Crty went by too fast for most of us and before we realrzed 1I we found ourselves headed for Peru after a very excrtlng nme As th1s rs berng wrltten we are lookrng forward to graduatron and hoplng we have accu mulated enough of what P C S had to offer us to make us capable of takmg our place rn th1s world as good c1t1zens We w1ll always look back to the days that we have spent here w1th the feelmg of pleasure and the knowledge that thrs IS where we spent some of the best and happrest days of our IIVCS 4 '.5.'W l'-T-5 C.'.5 ?'5 Q A A WY' 7 V17 Q' Y ' - Q I f .
