L NGUAGES The Languages occupied one of the main rings under our Big Top. We looked forward to this feature attrac- tion with curiosity as well as enthusi- asm. An exciting adventure in learn- ing Was ahead. Our study of a foreign tongue extended beyond speaking and Writing, for we learned how people of other countries live. lnforrnative and colorful slides and rnovies made each country rnore farniliar. The singing of Christmas carols in various languages gave us a Warm feeling of friendliness for the lands. All these factors have rnade us deeply appreciative of other languages as Well as our own. Three lively clowns. Rosemarie Yellen. Mary lane Maloney and Agnes Dayko, add to the tes- tivities ol the Pan American Day Assembly. Santa is the central tigure as Ian Perkowski shows H. Bottka and D. Iankowitz the unusual decorations prepared by the German classes.
