'oreword Ann Hardiman. 44 T HOUGH the years may pass, the way be long,” we of the Senior Class of 1948 will remember forever Amboy High as the school wherein we spent four youthful, joyous, and happy years. It has been within the ivy-clad walls of PAHS that we received our first taste of foreign languages, we first delved into the mysteries of science and mathematics, we danced at our first formals, and we cheered our teams on to exciting court and gridiron victories. We shall also remember that a tool which will enable us to work, to strive, to ever live” was obtained primarily here in the classrooms of Amboy High. That master tool is knowledge. We have obtained this all important implement only through the untiring and willing efforts of our Faculty, Principal, Superintendent, and Board of Education. To them we can only say, humbly and gratefully, Many thanks”. Soon we shall leave the sheltered security of high school life, graduate and go forward into fields of business or higher education. With the thought in mind that we may never be together again as a class, we of the Annual staff have tried to condense all of our happy and varied experiences into this yearbook. The many episodes of high school life which are now so firmly imprinted in our minds will tend to grow faint as the years pass. Thus, to refresh our memories in the future, we shall turn to our Annual, the record of our days in PAHS, and renew and strengthen that bond which links us forever to Amboy High, our Faculty, and our schoolmates. And so, dear classmates, when our light-hearted days in PAHS, the Senior Prom, and graduation are just fond memories, let us forge ahead in the future with our motto, We shall do the difficult now, but the impossible will take a little time,” on our lips, and in our hearts the closing lines of our Alma Mater, Perth Amboy High leads on.”
