Opponent Girls Boys Tennant Here 43 33 53 32 Shelby Here 78 eo 52. 62 Boys Sectmonal Tournament at Harlen Kirkman 62 37 Earhng 36 44 BOYS BASKETBALL The Persia five lost their first game of the season and then started a vumung spree The team ended the season with a record of eleven games won and seven lost The one outstandlng game of the season was against the undefeated Underwood team Persia s boys defeated Under wood by a lead of five points and handed Underwood lt s only loss in twenty one games and also the only defeat in the Po Ha She conference At the County Tournament Pers1a drew Logan and were defeated Kirkman 1n the first round of battle and lost to Earl ing in the second round of play Earling later became champs of the tourney Persia boys tied with Shelby for third place in the Po Ha She conference with a score of eight won and four lost Our high score for the season was Mar1on Martin with 184 points in eighteen games We are looking forward to another good season for our boys next year With the exception of Melvin Williams and Harley Martens the entire team will be back in force with also some promxsing material coming 1nto the Freshman class 35 defeated the first night.
