HISTORY OF THE SENIOR CLASS Freshman Year The graduatmg class of 1948 49 entered hlgh school xn the year 1945 There were twenty f1VE members 1n the class The class roll was Roberta Alter Cleo Arbaugh Rxchard Hester Marllyn W1llard Shlrley Cave Donna Mae Grayb1ll Bonme Carpenter Ronald Ehas Norman Ehas Chfford Mxtchell Lyle Ingwersen Mar1on Legan Donna Pltts Glen Perry Harley Martens Jacquellne Martens Wayne Martm Arnold P1tzer Phyllxs Ruckrnan Jo Ann Stamp Kenneth Wxllxams Lotus Patton Melvm W11l1ams Rosemary Shadden Bonn1e Caddell We were zntxtxated by havxng to dress up ln gunny sack costumes he gmrls representxng Bugs Bunny and the boys 1m1tat1ng Llttle Lulu We lost Shlrley Cave early ln the school year when she moved to Plsgah Thxs reduced our class membershlp to twenty four makmg It evenly d1v1ded class of twelve g1rls and twelve boys Class offxcers durxng our Freshman year were Vxce Presxdent Marxlyn Wmllard Secretary Treasurer Bonnle Carpenter Sophomore Year The class of 49 1n our Sophomore year was made up of ezght g1r1s and eleven boys We lost several students who had been wlth us dur1ng our Freshman year They were Rosemary Shadden and Cleo Arbaugh who attended school at Woodbxne Lotus Patton and Bonnle Caddell who entered thexr sophomore year at Logan and Kenneth W1llxams Several members of our class partlcxpated 1h dxfferent actwxtxes durxng the school year such as vocal musxc band and basketball 9 D ' .
