I MEMORIAM i'-y-45 Mr John A Halverson, a teacher and counselor at Pershmg jumor I-hgh School for n1ne years, d1ed of leukerma on july 14, 1976 I-Ie was a natlve of Ch1cago and a Navy veteran of World War II He also had taught at Horace Mann and LEWIS Jumor H1gh Schools He was a Nat1onal Masters racquetball champ1on IH 1974 and 1975 and State Masters chan-1p1on the past three years He had also won the Western Reg1ona1 Masters champ1onsh1p and the Inter nanonal Masters Smgles champ1onsh1p Shortly before h1s death he was voted Male Athlete of the Year by the Internatlonal Racquetball Assocxanon He was an outstandmg teacher and cotmselor who loved h1s students and h1s farmly He contnbuted a great deal to th1s school, h1s country, and to all of us We shall m1ss h1m ,. y 1 ' , Nj: cf--It l 1 I v I - Y - .,.- up :- 1 I W' I 'vf' . .
