Myers, a native of Ohio who attended school there, in Wisconsin, and in California, was graduated from Hoover High School in San Diego. While attending San Diego City College after his graduation from high school, he worked for the San Diego Gas and Electric Company. He served in the United States Army in Korea with the 25th Infantry Division and, following his discharge, he attended the University of Southern Mississippi where he received his Bachelor's and Master's Degrees. At this university he was inducted into several honorary organizations including Phi Delta Kappa. Mr. Myers taught in Texas, was chairman of the Social Studies Department at Pacific Beach Junior High, and has served as chairman of that department here. I-Ie has been the ASB Advisor for seven years at Pershing and has been a leader in all school activities. Mr. Myers and his wife Frances have two children, Sharon and Marc. Mr. William Myers is a dedicated teacher, student advisor, a friend to students and staff members, an active member of his church and his community, and a well-loved father and husband. For his dedication to his students and our community, we are proud to dedicate this annual to Mr. Myers, our ASB Advisor.
