The TOTEM CLUB under the sponsorship of Mr. Fred Grimshaw has had a successful year. The club has under- taken various activities, among which was the publication of a paper called The Totem News, which has been sent to previous members of the Totem Club. The officers are James Tottis, presidentg Earl Ehrhart, vice presidentg Mariquita Sheffield and Barbara Pellegrini, secretariesg and Shirley Rizzo, treasurer. Sixteen new members were initiated formally. The club has a limited membership of thirty students who have had or are at present taking American History The Pershing Y-TEENS lformerly the Girl Reservesl had a large and active membership this semester. The group is affiliated with the Y.W.C.A. and uses the Highland Park branch of the Y for many of its meetings. The purpose of this organization is to help its members grow both spiritually and physically and promote better friendship among all peoples. This term the club had its informal and formal initiations at the Highland Park The mothers of the girls at- tended the formal initiation, which consisted of a dinner and formal recognition ceremony for new members.
