Gene- vieve. Fiehler accounted for two of the Per- ryville touchdowns and Flentge the other, on a lonfg pass. All of the extra points were missed. The Perryville Pirazes journeyed to Flat Riv- er on September 22, and tied the Flat River team 6-6. Mecker scored the only touchdown. The extra point attempt failed. The Perryville Pirates lost their first con- ference game on October 5, at Cape Girardeau to the Central Tigers 24-19. Flentge accounted for two of the touchdowns on passes. Fiehler scored the other touchdowns and Conrad the extra foint. After playing a hard game the Pirates were defeated 19-14 on the Charleston field. This game was played on October 13. Fiehler scored both of the Perryville touchdowns and Flentge scored both of the extra points. Perryville after three games away from home returned to their home field for a game with Sikeston on Friday night October 20. They were unable to score against the Sikeston High team and as a result, lost 21-O. The Pirates played a game with St. Vin- cents on October 27, and won 34-U. The game was sponsored by the ir. Chamber of Com- merce. Flentge and Fiehler each scored two touchdowns while Weith scored the other. Glaub caught an Indian behind the goal for a safety and Flentge and Conrad scored the ex- tra gccznts. Perryville played Poplar Bluff November 3, and were defeated in another Conference game 25-O. The Pirates passing attack was stopped by the rain, and their ground attack was stopped by the large Poplar Bluff team. Final score Poplar Bluff 25, Perryville U. Perryville journeyed to Caruthersville on Friday November 10, and lost another Confer- ence game. The small Caruthersviile team scored two of their three touchdowns on screen pass- es which worked perfectly. The other was on cr 30 yard run. Score: Caruthersville 19, Per- ryville O. The Pirates played Dexter on November 17, and won SO-U, in one of their best games of the season. Fiehler led the team with three touchdowns, and Martin and Prevallet each made one, Martins touchdown was on a 75 yard run and Preva11et's on an 80 yard run on the last play of the game. None of the extra points were made. Perryville played Iackson on November 27 and won 22-12. The game had been can- celled from Thanksgiving Day because of a very deep snow. The Pirates scored two of their touchdowns on passes from Smith to Flentge. This combination was also good for two extra points. Glaub scored the other touchdown and the safety by catching Mills behind the goal. Final score: Perryville 22, lackson 12.
