Our gymnasium serves its purpose for both recreation and entertain- ment. Noon hours are no longer dull for either boys or girls as we have intramural games throughout the year. Volley ball and softball have always been important to the girls, but this year, with the help of Coach Fatchett, the girls did a very good job of playing basketball. The captains of the four basketball teams participating Were: Norma Winkler, Winifred Abernathy, Dellora Stark, and lean Luckey. Abernathy's team became the leading team of the season. Norma Winkler ranked first in points of the four teams. The six volley ball teams were headed by: Nancy Bierk, Wanda Miller, Norma Winkler, Betty Mecker, Verna Prevallet, and Betty Fairchild.
