MARTHA McLAIN .S., Univ. of Texas, Speech Speech . . . The Speech department is one of the most im- porta nt in our school. The main objective of speech is to promote better communication with others. Among the many phases of speech are: debate, ex- temperaneous speaking and poetry reading. Speech is an optional course. The faculty members join actively in school spirit sessions. Fine Arts . . . Fine arts consist of band, choir, and art. Band and choir develop the student ' s knowledge and appreciation for music. These courses give the students a better understanding of the various fields in which they par- ticipate. These courses are optional. DOUGLAS FISKIN B.S. , West Texas State, Bookkeeping, Typing, Busi- ness Law Business The business courses offered in P.H.S. are included in the curriculum of our school for the benefit of those who wish to enter into this type of work after graduation.
