c3 ' enior l(j)£o s l9)fj. JO JOHN ERICKSON JOHNNY LEICHT John Erickson has come to be one of the best known students in PHS during his four years of high school. Each of his honors is a re- sult of his fine leadership ability. John has proved this through his outstanding works as President of the Student Council. Without John ' s strong voice to cheer the teams on and his banjo to make bus trips more fun, the PHS spirit might not have had the same sup- port. John also shows his talents with the various organizations in the PHS music and speech depart- ments. Because of her vivacious and friendly personality, Lois Carol Williams has become a well liked student at PHS. During four years of high school, Lois has shown many versatile qualities. She led the Ranger Marching Band as a twirler and played oboe during concert season. As editor of the Ranger annual Lois has shown fine leadership ability and initative to stay with a job until it was done. PHS has been lucky to have Lois and other dedicated students like she. LOIS CAROL WILLIAMS Perryton High School ' s choice for Mr. PHS is truly one apropos to the class of 1962. Johnny Leicht has been a leader of not only his class but his high school. He has been a member of the Ranger foot- ball and track teams, an officer for his class each year of his nigh school career, has been elected Wao ' s Who three of the four years, as well as being an honor i;adent and a member of the National Honor So- ciety. Johnny is truly deserving of the title Mr. PHS for he has worked for the betterment of his school and has represented his school as a true Ranger. 29

Senior Jaooriies Elected by the Senior Class are their favorites Gay Wagner and Charles Alexander seen ad- miring the tumbleweed snowman. Gay, only five feet tall, is one of Perryton High School ' s most accomplished musicians. Charlie Red, as Charles is known to his classmates, might well be called Mr. School Spirit as he is very active in boosting the spirit in every way.
