With September came the back-to-school move- ment. Activities started with the first day of school and never slackened through the nine months at PHS, Classes, sports, socials, and clubs kept students busy. New and better things were to come from a student body which was well tuned to the school song: Hail, Perryton Rangers. Hats off to you. Ever you ' ll find us loyal and true. Firm and undaunted, always we ' ll be. Hail to the school we love; Here ' s a toast to thee. A, . (V-ft— ■ What! Only THREE solids this year? Along with other activities, comes studying also — Grant, stop shakin; the ladder.

-f- BONFIRE STILL PLANNED DESPITE WOOD BURNING: Despite a premature burning by some mis- guided souls with warped sense of humor, a large pile of fire wood was in place for a bonfire Thursday night. Some rather stupid individuals with no respect for the rights of others set fire to the previously gathered wood Monday night. (Ochiltree County Herald, October 26, 1961) JLMt Well now, Mr. Zollar - it ' s like this ... At the beginning of the football game each Friday Night,, the audience ' s attention is centered on Blaze, our Ranger mascot ridden by Joe D. New- man, who together with the cheerleaders lead the Rangers onto the field.
