GILBERT MIZE Superintendent One of the greatest attributes of any human being is faith. When a builder decides to build a skyscraper, he doesn ' t know that he will have tenants for all the space. He doesn ' t know what unforeseen problems he may en- counter that will wipe out any profit that he plans to make. He calculates everything possible, but his final decision to proceed is based on faith in his ability to carry through successfully. Builders of raUroads, factories, or oil refineries have no assurance that their plans will be successful, but they have faith in themselves and others, and this gives them courage to go ahead. Without faith in the fundamental integrity of our fellow men, we could accomplish nothing. Those whom we call great have been men with great faith. As you go about this process of learning, of attain- ing knowledge and developing skills, keep in mind that you must undergird it all with abiding faith. Faith in yourselves, faith in yoiu associates, and faith in God. With this basic structure, you can progress successfully in whatever field you direct your energies.
