STEPHEN WALTERS Dramatics Club Prophecy Of The Class Of I956 The year is 1966 and I have just returned to Perrysville after ten years in the Navy,to find what has happened to all my classmates while I was gone. As I was walking up Main Street I saw Dave Price who is now work- ing at the Ohio Fuel Gas Co. and is 'the head boss, and with him were his wife and the two little Prices. I asked Dave what had happened to Bob Royer , and he told me that Bob is the head Coach at Ohio State University. As Ibid Dave good-by I saw, Curtice Bowman, who now is head account- ant at the Mansfield Sanitary Pottery. After leaving Curtice, I saw Steve Walters, coming into town on his tractor. I' flagged him down and he told me that he now owns a five hundred acre farm. On down the streetl sawa restaurant that has a sign reading, Cathers HashHouse, solwalked in to find Ota Cathers the sole owner. Ota is an old maid. Whilelwas eating some of Ota's hash in walked Janet Le Mas- ters, now Mrs. Briner, and her four little children. After we had talked for awhile,Ileft and walked down Second Street where I saw James Bre- wer,who is now head of the Sewer Department. Jim is now married and has two children. He showed me his new pick up truck. By that time it was one o'clock and I ask Jim where I could find a hotel that I could sleep in for the night and he said Beck's Hotel is the best, because it is the only one in town, and it is on Third Street. After walking for half an hour I found it, John Beck was working behind the counter and was very glad some one had come to his hotel. The next morning Iask John where the school was and he said it was in the same place. So I told John good-by and left for the school house. As I was looking atthe pictures in the upstairs hall who did I see but, Sonja Funk- houser, who is now teaching history. Sonja told me that Linda Mann is the Elementary School Principal. So I went to see her, Linda shares her office with the school nurse Louise Every. After we talked for a while Iasked what had happened to Betty Robinson and they said she was mar- ried and living inTexas with her husband. I told Louise and Linda good- by and started walking down the street and saw Darwin Hardin, who now owns Hardin's Lumber Co. Darwin is not married yet, but hopes to be soon. On down the street I saw Jim Glasgo who owns the farm next to Steve Walters. Jimis married and had two of his six children with him. After I told Jim good-by, I saw Karl Beaver, who is now the Vice President of the Mansfield Sanitary Pottery and Company. Karl is mar- ried and has two sets of twins. I ask him what had happened to Eugene Harris and he said Eugene had married one of the Mumper girls and now runs the theater in Loudonville. My leave was up so I bid all my class- mates good-by and ran to catch my train as it was ready to pull out of the depot.
