I v . -1 , V, J. ,S CLASS HISTORY Four short years thrs rs the dur itron of our hrgh school lrfe In thrs our last year let us look back over these year s whleh for us have been so full 1946 and we see for ty thrcc studc nts Llllhlalllg the portals of Perrysvllle Hrgh to become the Freshmen of the school year 1946 47 Vie chose as our class offlcers Be nny Julr rn Pr esrde nt Rudolph Mycroft Vlce Presldent Jore Jarred Secretary and Treasurer Mrs Allen Class Sponsor Durlng our I+ reshman year the followrng students wrthdrew from our class Rudy Mycroft Benny Julran Robert Ireland Howard Grlffrn Lors Smlth Gene Campbell Walter Blevrns Lora tta Perry Meredyth Lewls Walter Plng and Audrey England Durlng the year the class garned two new members they were Dotty Smrtley and Delorc s Cooper 1947 frnds us wrth only thrrty four class members to become Sophomores The class offrcc rs were Dotty Smrtley Presrdent Pattle Monroe Vrce Presldent Bob Ross Secretary and Treasurer Mr Joe Ward Class Sponsor Delores By the end of the school term we had lost elght more of our classmates They were Betty Ann Crlsp Nreena Smlth Frances Mrddleton Katherrne Crowder Patty Mrller Bob Ross Kermlt Gulley and Harold Hueston Twenty seven students entered P H S as the Junrors of 1947 48 but before the close of the frrst slx weeks Joye Coleman and Kenneth Knox had wlthdrawn Delores Cook came to us from Calrfornla but she returned to her former home after a few weeks Before the close of school Kenneth Ohl had also wlthdrawn Thrs year the offrcers were Pattle Monroe Presrdent Dean Hughes Vlce Presrdent Ruth Adams Secretary and Treasurer Mr Farl Huffman and Luclle Mellrnger Co Sponsors On November 7 a cast of 9 Junlors made thelr debut on tne stage at P H S Under the dlrectron of Mr Earl Huffman the Junror Class presented the three act play Star Crazy On Aprll 30th as rs the custom at Perrysvllle Hlgh the Junlors entertarned the Senlors at the Junlor Senlor Receptlon held at the Harrlson Hrlls Country Club at Attrca To earn money for thrs event the Junrors besldes sponsorlng the play sold concessrons at all athletrc events and also sold school scarves We mav have been Jolly Junrors but we certalnly were not rdle Junrors September 1948 and we frnd ourselves top men on the totem pole 24 of us squared our shoulders and donned our dlgnlty as we became the Senlors of 1948 49 Our Senror offrcers are Ruth Adams Presrdent Gene Grubbs Vrce Presrdent Mary Ann Morgan Secretary and Treasurer Mlss Frscher and Mr Myers Co Sponsors Near the beglnnlng of the school year Floyd Houston wlthdrew from the class Our class has chosen blue and gold as the class colors and the prnk carnatron as the class flower.
