S am Adams COLOR FLOWER MOTTO Emerald and Ivory Lily of the Valley Consider carefully the events of the past, for they throw light an events to come. , Future Graduates, When we entered the doors of Perrysburg l-ligh School in 1955, we were yet to face the experiences which lay oheod of us during our four years of high school. As we look back over the accomplishments we have made be- ginning the year 1955 and ending this year, 1959, we see the progress we have made and the enjoyment we have had. ln our freshman year under the leadership of President-John Anning, Vice-President-Kay Sutter, Secretary-Bill Pugh, and Treasurer-Andree Bayliss, we sponsored a dance and held a class picnic. This was a year of getting acquainted for us. Our goal during our sophomore year was earning money for our trip to New York. With President-Tom l-lillabrand, Vice President-Jim Hufford, Secretary-Mary Ann McGuffin, and Treasurer-Joan Jeska, we sponsored a dance, a bake sale, and a fish fry. By earning enough money, we were able to benefit- by our trip. The biggest project during our junior year was sponsoring the prom. With our officers President--Bill Dhondt, Vice President-Ray Chatreau, Secretary-Colleen Sullivan, and Treasurer Joan Jeska, we put on a play and sponsored a fish fry. Because everyone in our class worked together, we earned enough money to give the prom. Now, in this, our senior year, we have elected President-Jon Luzny, Vice President-Bonnie Webb, Secretary-Nellie Barnard, and Treasurer--Sam Adams. Under their leadership and under the guidance of our three devoted sponsors, Mrs. Kutzhe, Mr. Smith, and Mr. Munger, we have sponsored the Christmas Dance, a fish fry, and a play. By these projects we earned enough rnoney for our trip to Washington. We have had a lot of fun and have done a lot of hard work in our last four years as a class. By working together from the beginning of our fresh- man year, we have reached the goals which we aimed for. As we leave through the doors of Perrysburg l-ligh School as seniors in 1959, We now feel our last four years were worthwhile. We would like to thank our parents for their help on all of our projects. Their time and effort is greatly appreciated. We hope you, as future graduates, will recognize the values of these years and make the most of them. We wish you as much luck and fun as we have had in our years of school. Sports 1958-59 T he Year of Chalnpions The year of I958-59 is called the year of champions. The football team won the championship with an undefeated C9-Ol record, and the basketball team won the champion- ship with an undefeated HO-Ol league record, and a l4-Z record over all, The baseball team has most ot their lettermen returning, and is the favorite to win the title again as it did in l958. The track team had one of their better seasons last year, ending up with a 5-2 record. The same boys are back this year, and they should have a record equal to or better than last years. Perrysburg High School in the last two years has the best record in sports of anyone in the Northern Lakes League, and of most the schools around here. The teams have compiled a total of i7 wins and only l loss in football, Z7 wins and 6 losses in basketball, and in baseball they have won the league title for two years straight, and have the material to make it three straight. 4 TOM HILLABRAND Sr. l-lalfback RAY CHATREAU Sr. Tackle 66Undefeate1l Champs twelve, eight made the all-con- ference team, Graduation will TOM GALLANT Sr. Tackle surely take its toll from the jack- KEN MEYERS ets undefeated tea IIM l-IUFFORD Sr. Haltback rn' I ST.
