THE CLASS 0F 1957 The class of i957 has struggled through four years of high school and we have finally finished our last year of school. With Mr. Notestine, Mrs. Braun, Mr. Manchester, and Mr. Jones leading us, we began our freshman year with Tom Dunbar, President, Tony Sanders, Vice-President, Jane Bortel, Secretary, and Jeannine Himburg, Treasurer. We had no big class proiects, other than getting used to the fun and troubles of high school life. By the time our class became Sophomores, we had slowly learned that there was hope for us after all. Tony Sanders was our President, with Neil Ford, Vice-President, Jane Bortel, Secretary, and Carole Ries, Treasurer. We started a new school tradition by taking a class trip to New York, and we held a very successful dance, the Shamrock Serenade , under the supervision of Mr. Braund, Mr. Jones, Mr. Huebner, and Miss Reuthinger. As Juniors we- proved our ability to work together by sponsoring the Junior Record Hop , the Senior Farewell Convocation, and the Junior-Senior Prom. Mr. Wolfe, Miss Morgan, Mrs. McHugh, and Mr. Strow gave us much support as our class spon- sons. Gary May, President, Jack Austin, Vice-Presi- dent, Kay Goeke, Secretary, and Bob Trowbridge, Treasurer, exhibited their leadership abilities by guiding us in our selection of a class ring-the big event of our Junior year. And now we are Seniors. A bit battle-scarred but wiser, we have come to the end of our struggle. Our year was a very successful one-we had two class picnics, sponsored the Christmas Dance, went to Washington, published the Yearbook, and Some- thin . Having been led by Ron Reis, President, Jack Austin, Vice-President, Kay Goeke, Secretary, and Bob Trowbridge, Treasurer, and our sponsors Mr. Wolfe, Mr. Braund, Mr. Zeitler, and Mrs. McHugh, we're now ready for graduation.
